It aims at creating a community of pioneer teachers spreading new ideas through interpersonal channels. It has developed a system for lifelong learning, knowledge sharing and co-operation.

ULEARN is a project carried out in the framework of the European program "e-Learning". This project aims at creating a stable community of "pioneer teachers" in Europe through a system which supports teachers' lifelong learning, sharing knowledge and cooperation.

ULEARN deals with the definition and design of an organisational model for a European virtual system of excellence on ICT in education, the definition of a common European curriculum of ICT skills in education, the implementation of a pilot of the system, the definition of a transferability strategy to extend the pilot to a larger scale and to make the system evolve into a stable structure.
