Public profile Gail Casey
Gail is a PhD student with an Australian Postgraduate Award. Her research focus is on designing teaching and learning experiences using action research to investigate how Web 2.0 and social media can be used to enhance the teaching and learning process. She has a masters in language and literacy education, a graduate diploma in computing and a bachelor of applied science in Mathematics. In 2011 Gail received a Highly Commended award by the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) for the innovative approach to online learning that her research demonstrated. She accepted an invitation to present at their June 2011 conference in Philadelphia, USA. Gail will also present a research paper in Singapore at the December 2011 International Conference on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education which is focused on embracing diversity and empowering Gen Y learners. Gail is supervised by Professor Terry Evans, Deakin University.
