Phil Banyard is Reader in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University and a member of the Technology in Education Research Team. Over the past eight years the team has been involved in numerous projects for Becta and also the European Union. Phil has strong interests in teaching and assessment and for 20 years was a Chief Examiner of a national qualification in psychology. He is a frequent speaker at conferences for students and also at INSET events for teachers. Alongside his output of academic papers Phil has also written numerous articles and several textbooks for students. He contributes to the development of teaching of psychology through his work as Chair of a standing committee of the British Psychological Society and also as conference convenor for the Association for the Teaching of Psychology.
