Christian M. Stracke is an expert and senior consultant with international reputation and numerous references within his main working fields policies and quality for learning, quality management, E-Learning, competence modelling and standardization in HR. As consultant and project manager he gained extensive experience in consulting and supporting enterprises and public organization to develop long-term policies and to implement and improve E-Learning.
He is Vice-Chair of the European standardization committee CEN/TC 353 since its establishment and Convener of the international standardization committee ISO/IEC JTC1/SC36 WG5 that has developed and published the first official ISO/IEC standard for quality management in Learning, Education, and Training (RFDQ = ISO/IEC 19796-1). And he is engaged in several standardization organizations (ISO/IEC, IEEE, LETSI, CEN, DIN) and co-author of several specifications for E-Learning and competencies in HR.
Christian M. Stracke studied Educational Sciences (M.A.) at the University of Bonn and as Project Manager he currently coordinates international, European, and national consortia at the University of Duisburg-Essen (see: www.wip.uni-due.de), amongst others the largest German project for Quality and Standards in E-Learning called Quality Initiative E-Learning in Germany (Q.E.D., see: www.qed-info.de) and "Competence for Human Resource Development". In addition he is Adjunct Professor at the Korea National Open University (KNOU) in Seoul (see: www.knou.ac.kr).
He is co-initiator and Member of the Executive Committee of the German E-Learning Association D-ELAN (see: www.d-elan.net) and elected speaker of the SIG "International E-Learning". He has established the eLC Institute for eLearning, information and Cooperation, founding member of D-ELAN (see: www.elc-institute.org).
His main research interests and activities are quality and standards in E-Learning, quality and competence development in education and HR, convergence of knowledge management and E-Learning, international and intercultural E-Learning, Mobile Learning, evaluation, measurement and change management in learning processes. As an internationally recognized innovator, consultant, and researcher he has published numerous articles and book chapters and has been invited speaker at multitudinous international, European, and national conferences.
