Wolf Hilzensauer works as a researcher and project manager at Salzburg Research Forschungsgesellschaft in the area of media didactics and the use of educational technologies. His focus lies in ICT supported innovative educational processes and the use of multimedia, Social Software and personal learning environments for the development of self oriented learning skills.
His current research is focused on the so called Social Software, namely Weblogs, Wikis and e-portfolios, which he´s applying in the design of didactical concepts for innovative learning environments. Furthermore he develops concepts for competence-based learning processes with the support of ICT-tools.
He has been involved in several national and international research projects as a researcher and project manager. Additionally he give talks on conferences and symposia and moderates “hands-on” workshops in the use of Social Software for co-operative e-learning, community oriented and competence-based learning.
