Offentlig profil Emily M. Geraghty Ward

Emily Geraghty Ward received her PhD in Geology from the University of Montana in 2007. During her PhD, she conducted traditional structural geology research as well as collaboratively developed professional development workshops for in-service science teachers on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation of Montana. Ward worked as adjunct faculty at the University of Montana Western from 2005-2009 where she taught Introductory Geology courses. Currently she works as a research associated in the Geocognition Research Lab at Michigan State University. Her current research interest is in assessing students’ understanding of geoscience concepts, particularly in the influence of place (in both a physical and humanistic sense) on conceptual understanding.
